A good link to touring in Western British Columbia

Post by lisap »

Found this site www.adamk.ca/index.html while looking for touring info on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

I thought it may be of interest to others intending to head that way.

Neil Roughley's Cycling Page is also a good source of information about touring in British Columbia:

Here is a story about cycling north through British Columbia, the Yukon and Northwest Territories to the Arctic:

Thanks for all of these links. I've sporadically and fruitlessly looked for good travelogues for BC and these links are great. My nearest and dearest is from BC but wasn't a cyclist before she left. We have been considering taking the bikes over with us for the next family visit and doing a longer tour in BC.
Cheers

Crazyguyonabike is a good source of information and photos about various routes. Here is some explicit information on how to start a bike trip at the international airport in Vancouver, British Columbia:

Here is a page about cycling in British Columbia and Alaska written by Bob Broughton (it has not been updated recently but the basic information is still relevant):

Well I have just booked my flight for next summer ( all of June). I was planning to go to Turkey/Iran but politics got in the way.

Having done a dash through BC this year I intend to ride a day, explore a day and see where I end up. :D

Glad you found the info useful Stan.
