Here is the exact status:

http://www.ecf.com/1749_1

If you want to know whether it is status as in "safe" 2-3 people reported back that they had done the Danube in 2006.

Eurovelo Route 6 or the Route des Fleuves

Post by Jules »

This route is now complete and has been officially opened. More information about it can be found in French and German only (CTC's Information Office can help with translation if required) at

http://www.eurovelo6.org/

For information on the French section along the Loire, try www.cartovelo.com for publications in French, and for the Rhine and Danube sections try http://www.germany-tourism.de/biking/index.html Stanfords in London also carry publications in German for the Rhine under Germany and the Danube cycleway under Austria.

If any members do any sections of this route over the spring or summer, we would be delighted to receive your touring notes for the benefit of other members.
