Hadrians Wall Cycle Route

Post by Baldric »

I'm doing a tour of Northumberland in May and will be stopping in a camping barn at Barrasford (Would have been Acomb Youth Hostel but it's been shut). Anyway my question is, does anyone know if you can cycle the disused railway that runs from Chollerford to Barrasford, which runs up the side of the A6079? Or is there a way across the river from Humshaugh to Barrasford? Thus avoiding the A6079.

I'm afraid the answer is no to both questions, but the A6079 should not be too busy. If you need further information email heatherevans.ctc@virgin.net

Thanks Heather.

We'll just pedal a bit quiker on that bit then to get it out the way.
