Sorry can't help. I can't understand why they are not queuing up. Wierd.[/quote]
I'm mystified as well Jim- what with him being 6feet an' all. Maybe he's missing the GSOH and photo appreciated.
In fact Ptolemy you could post a photo and all those "English roses" would be able to see what they are missing.

Perhaps you may get better results from including cycling on a dating site than dating on a cycling site
Motorists' mantra: Cyclists must obey the law and the Highway Code AT ALL TIMES. Unless their doing so would HOLD ME UP.

I don't know from the OPs posts wherether he is looking for some company or for romance? I do see ladies advertising for partners to accompany them on bike tours, but they either tend to be looking for other women for company or for men more as a security issue rather than anything romantic. I don't know, but would a winter tour in the states be quite uncomfortable for a female so not so attractive a proposition?
The OP may be a great guy and very genuine but without any further info how could you judge?

The ST is something over 3000 miles. I did it in the winter of 2009-10 in 54-days with 43 days of actual cycling. Temperatures in west Texas
broke record lows that had held since 1977. I laid back in a motel in Van Horn when that kind of weather hit. For the most part though, the temps were actually quite comfortable, and invigorating. I get better mileage in cool-cold weather than is summer. I did a summer crossing of the ST in temps of 98-110 Farenheit. I was drinking three gallons of liquids daily. My mileage went down as the sun beat me down.I am a cyclist. I am a teacher. I am a writer.

The southern tier from east coastal Florida to San Diego is around 3000 miles.

This is the funniest thread i've read so far. Don't get me wrong, but your post sounds exactly like a dating site post.
In the rest of the posts you are just bragging about your touring achievements. I'm not saying it's not ok to be modest, but with the current attitude i don't think you'll get what you're looking for. At least not on this forum.

Taking 43 days for a 26 day route is quite modest, the speedy ones ride it in 18 days.

Simultaneously the funniest and most horrid thing I have read on the net in a long time. Strange.
