We are planning to cycle from Vienna to Krakow in June, does anyone have any useful advice, tips or specifics on a route

From Vienna, head north along Eurovelo Route 9 till Brno. In Brno, head east along Eurovelo Route 4 which takes you to Krakow.

Thank you for that, but how do I find exactly where the route goes on the ground, can I buy maps, if so where?

Don't follow some daft route, choose your own. It'll be much more rewarding. And don't hang around when you get into Poland, it's very disappointing after Slovakia.

Why? there is plenty to see in Poland. I have done both Slovakia and Poland and they are different but they also both have their attractions.
