L'Orient, Morhiban, Brittany

Post by Jeremy Bond »

Don't suppose if anyone knows if there is a ferry between Larmor-plage and Port-Louis. I am planning a route through Brittany and it looks like I have to go through L'Orient to get across the River?

I know thw area well but whilst there are trip boats, I don't believe that there is a scheduled ferry service. I will get you the definitive answer asap. By the way, St Cado is well worth some time.

The ferry goes from Locmiquelic to Lorient. Both are 3km from Port Louis and Larmor Plage respectively.

The ferry also goes to Port Louis from below L'Orient close to the U boat pens. I think it's called port de peche. On a Sunday it shuttles between L'Orient, Locmiquelic and Port Louis.
