Re: saddle pack
That's a Revelate Viscacha innit?
I want one, but the pricing is obscene.
This is an option, though slightly different - http://www.wildcatgear.co.uk/shop/seat- ... ear-tiger/
Or Alpkit I suppose. There's an Eastern European fella who makes Viscacha like bags, but the name escapes me at the minute.

The Viscacha price is ludicrous for what it is. I am tempted by the Polish fella, despite thinking that's overpriced too.
I'm probably going to go down the Carradice route despite them looking rubbish.

Re: saddle pack
I use one of the alpkit drybags that have loops for attaching straps. It actually works pretty well, you just have to work out what size would fit best. Least expensive method by far and also 100% waterproof. I got the 13L version.

I'd be a bit concerned that the backs of my legs/backside would hit the pack. Plus they look awful. Have you considered a handlebar bag as an alternative?

This is the specific Alpkit product: https://www.alpkit.com/products/koala
It's quite new, based on the prototypes linked to above by Gadge1

Bit of a price difference there! I think that I may go for a dry bag with added toe strappage.

The base of the bag is an oval so its profile is quite narrow, also they are made out of really tough stuff. Im really pleased with it at least.

Re: saddle pack
You could ask Beerbabe to make you an uparmoured version of her saddlepack.
