I have uploaded a new release on http://www.openfietsmap.nl/downloads/europe

For more frequent updates there is also the world-wide light version available at https://extract.bbbike.org/ (wekely) or http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl (monthly).

There is a new update available, this year DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data has been added so you can see shaded relief and browse the maps in 3D in Garmin's Basecamp. Also I've added the possibility to install the individual regions on Basecamp, so you don't have to download whole Europe if you are only interested in the British Isles (for the Brexit folks ).

is there still a garmin western europe map available? I always liked having GB / benelux / germany all in one file (i'm sure that used to be an option)

No, not for the computer, it is whole Europe or the individual sections as separate maps. For the gps you can combine those sections. Or you can go to garmin.openstreetmap.nl to try to get a custom region, but there is a big chance this map will get too big (4 gb is the max on that site).

ok, just looked on the device and i used to have one file for GB and another for DE+BENELUX
