What ferry to Norway is that?
I thought all the Norway ferries stopped a few years ago

Killiechronan is grass at the back of the beach, with toilets and a tap 300m down the road.
something to carry water in is useful, and in June there was a burger van about 300m the other way.

I was looking at going from Aberdeen, perhaps, to Lerwick and then across to Bergen.
According to this site it's possible for £45:

directed to from this site:

Alternatively, I think one could also go: Scrabster > Stromness > Lerwick > Bergen

Here's a good link:

However, for anyone who may be interested, read the following:
The main crossing to Shetland is from Aberdeen. Ferries depart Monday - Friday. It is also possible to sail to Shetland via Orkney and this service sails twice weekly in the summer months and once a week in the winter.

The information on that page is very out of date, I'm afraid: Smyril line stopped their Scottish route a few years ago (they still go to Iceland and the Faroes, but only from Denmark; and there's no longer a passenger ferry route from the UK to Denmark). There are occasional optimistic rumours that a ferry link to Norway might be revived, but nothing remotely definite (as far as I know).

Hi pal,

Is that right? Gosh, that's a bit strange - wonder why the site is offering tickets then? I'll have to look into this a bit more - maybe even ring someone. Thanks for the heads up!

Aberdeen -- Lerwick (via Kirkwall or direct) is fine -- perhaps that's the ticket they're selling? But (as far as I know), once you get to Shetland the only thing to do is turn round and head south again...

(It wouldn't get you any closer to Norway, but a possibility for varying the route north or south might be to try the short sea crossing from Gills Bay to Orkney: among its other advantages is that it's usually significantly less sea-sickness-inducing than the trip from Scrabster! http://www.pentlandferries.co.uk/ )

Sorry for the delay re your request. My comment referred to the Isle of Mull only starting from say Killichronan as that was your original destination I think.
