Club/Section magazines and newsletters

I, along with another member, have provisionally agreed to take on the editing and production of the club magazine for Birmingham CTC Southern Wheelers.

The magazine is well-established and produced professionally ... but needs a bit of an update in style to be more attractive and also work as a recruitment tool for new riders. We are seeking inspiration from other publications ....

So - if your club/group/whatever has a magazine or newsletter would you be kind enough to send me a copy (electronically to rob AT beewee.co.uk - obviously change the AT) or by mail (in which case PM and I'll give you my address.

Many thanks

Rob

I've sent you the SWLDA rides list, but I'd suggest an e-mail to West Kent. Their electronic mag is really smart. Their paper mag is really, really smart. Central London's rides list is pretty decent as well.

Thanks for the message - e-mailing round to the sections is in progress!

The Manchester & District CTC mag, "Northern Wheel", has a circulation of about 750; but as an 80 page quarterly publication it isn't something likely to be copied by other groups. The only way it survives is by the large number of paying advertisers. However if you would like t look at a copy I'm sure the editor, Graham, wold be pleased to send one to you.

Have PMed you a link to ours.

Would be nice to hear the results of your update - might be some helpful tips for other DAs/Sections.
