I led the first ride, which went from Hyde Park Corner to Brighton. It rained, although not in a big way until the moment of our arrival. 20 people joined the ride. A woman leaned out of her car in Crawley and bawled at us for 'not warning the council!' There was, iirc, only one puncture. We caught the train home.

Oh - and confining groups to areas isn't happening any more. The monthly FNRttC, which is a Cheam and Morden CTC ride, averages over 60 participants and draws people from Essex, Hull, Peterborough, Swansea, Hampshire, West London, Docklands, Kent...............and will, next year, include a ride from York to Cleethorpes
