North Birmingham Section

Postby Si » 11 Jan 2007, 11:27am

As the board is here I might as well plug my section!

www.NorthBirminghamCTC.co.uk

Upto nine different rides a week: a variety of speeds and distances, but all social.
A weekly club night, plus other social events.
Club mag.
Slide shows.
A yearly cycle jumble.
Light hearted competiton such as the chainless down hill and a treasure hunt.
The Shenstone Audaxes.
We also lead rides at the Meriden Weekend.
A friendly welcome and lots of advice on bikes, where to ride and the best cafes!
Rides generally start from Mere Green, Sutton Park, Blake St Station and Streetly.

check out the web site and see what's on offer.

Finallly got out for a ride with my local DA on Saturday (North Birmingham, obviously).

Thanks all for making me feel so welcome.

Nice weather, nice ride.

Glad you enjoyed it..I'll say hello in a couple of weeks when I'm back from my busman's holiday, if you decide to continue with them. Which group did you go with?

Intermediate I think, I followed my old man who's been cycling with them for a couple of months now, he tends to go with the intermediate group.

It was a fairly relaxed pace (13mph avg over fairly flat country) but it meant I was able to chat for the 35 or so miles we cycled.
