We are a small but friendly bunch of cyclists that meet fortnightly on a Sunday in all weather at Upminster c2c Station, and we can now offer two rides to suite (we hope) everybody.
Our first ride meets at 09.15 for a 09.30 start and are for the more experience riders with mileage during the winter months of between 35/55 but come summer and our mileage can be between 40/70 and sometimes more. We mostly cycle along the Essex Lane and Byways but occasionally we venture into Kent and Hertfordshire. Our second ride is called a Softees Ride and meets at 09.45 for a 10.00 start and are for newcomers and those that just want a short and unhurried ride. Mileage during the winter months is between 15/20 miles and sometimes less depending on the weather. Come summer and the mileage can be up to 40 miles, but of course with plenty of stops on route for a cuppa or two.
