CTC Peterborough

Postby pherron » 30 Aug 2012, 8:37am

Just to let people know that Peterborough has an active member group with rides twice a week, a 40 mile run on Saturday or Sunday and a more relaxed (but not necessarily shorter) ride on Wednesdays. The group has been going for a couple of years and it has a good bunch of people, plenty of women riders too - if you are in the area come along and try us out.

We have a 100 mile ride to Foxton Locks planned for 16th September.

I may well join you on one of your sojourns if I can fathom out how to cycle to a starting point from the station.

It is quite a short easy journey from the railway station, over the bridge and down Thorpe Road, then when you reach a roundabout left and onto to a cycle track next to the rowing course, at the end of that pass under the flyover and cross the river at the mere. We meet in the car park on the other side. All the rides are on our website and also we have a Facebook group if you do that sort of thing.
