There were no markings on the original BB Spindle but I measure it at 117mm. Obviously that's meant for the single chainring crankset it came with. I'm not sure if that is helpful. Given that the Hollowtech Deore spindle appears to be too long (even though the rear hub is 135mm), I'd probably try a 110mm with a triple and 107mm with a double. Maybe get a cheap one in case it's not right.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I've ordered a 650B model, which has a 13" frame, but also asked the supplier (these guys: https://www.thelittlebikecompany.co.uk/) about their advice on lowering the gear range. I'm thinking 32-tooth chainring plus 11-34 cassette would result in a better range of 8 gears at 25-80" or so, versus 30+-90" as standard.
