Just bought a 26" Dynamo wheel from Decathlon. It's a bit notchy but at £35 it will be perfect for winter riding to run lights and charge phone and gps.

Decathlon website suggests £30, I didn't research postage. 26" built around Shimano DH-3N30 & 700c around a DH-3N31.

I thought those models had been superceded but I may be mistaken.

The review on the 700c suggests it includes neither the connector block nor the q/r skewer.

Notchy of cogging?

It didn't come with the quick release skewer or connector. I used the skewer from the wheel I took off the bike. The connector came SJS cycles. The £35 was with postage. I don't know if the hubs aren't produced anymore just glad it works for that price.

Notchy when you spin it in your hand but ok when on the bike.

Thanks for the extra info.

Most likely cogging, uneven resistance from the magnets in a dynamo hub will make it feel rough when spun in your hands and as you note it's fine on the bike.

Ive a feeling mine has a 3n31. When i first spun it by hand i thought what the heck? Then went and got cogging explianed to me. Have to say that its been very reliable, feeds my light fine and i cant feel the rsistance with it on my sork bike. £30 sounds like good value if the wheel is ok

Sounds like a good deal. Could you Post a link to the connector that you got from SJS Cycles?

Thanks
