Touché!
Generally, however, the vast majority of my orders have been processed quickly and correctly. I only highlighted this one because I felt that Wiggle's response once a mistake had been made was very good. I would, of course, have preferred to have received the correct goods from the outset but recognise that simple errors will occur from time to time.

They just seem to lurch from one month to the next without any idea of when they will receive new stock, but at the same time seem quite happy to take people's money.

Has anyone else experienced delays ordering Carradice products from Wiggle, and if so then how long did you have to wait to receive the item?

Yes, exactly the same experience. The only progress is that the expected delivery date updates every couple of weeks.

I bought a Nelson (standard) from Wiggle just before christmas and it arrived in a few days (with some sweets  ). I had been looking at the longflap but it was out of stock and having looked at a few other sites Spa, Bikeplus etc I thought I'd grab the last standard Wiggle has as stocks of most bags were low everywhere. Perhaps Carradice simply can not keep up with demand?

Since I started using Wiggle, 2 years ago, I've only had one problem, & that was solved amicably.
They sent the wrong mudguards, credited my account, & I re ordered & they sent the correct ones & said I could keep the others.
So, all in all, I've had good service from them.

Just as you think someone had got the market cornered they go and blot their copy book. I ordered a Carradice Barley, a Pendle and a Bagman 2 from Wiggle. The idea was to get both bags and see which one suited and then send the other one back. The Pendle was not in stock but the website stated 2-7 days for delivery so I ordered anyway. The Barley and the Bagman arrived in the usual time so no problem there. :D I got an email from Wiggle saying that the Pendle was not in stock but that they did not anticipate any supply problems. :) 11 days later the website was still showing 2-7 days and there was no sign of my Pendle. I emailed Wiggle and got a very quick response saying that they had checked with their supplier and the Pendle was not expected back in stock until the end of October. :o BTW the website is still showing 2-7 days. Order for Pendle cancelled!

Not sure the Carradice stuff is solely a Wiggle problem as I was talking to someone recently who was having difficulty getting stuff direct from Carradice - he commented that they didn't appear to have any working stock/production control system.

I agree that supply is not always the fault of the retailer but continuing to say on you web site that delivers is expected in 2-7 days is. So is

"The following items will be despatched as soon as possible:

1 x Carradice Pendle Saddle Bag Black

They have been requested from our suppliers and we are not aware of any problems.
We'll despatch them to you as soon as they arrive."

Followed by...nothing!

You may be right. For the third time Wiggle have put the expected date of delivery back a month (always the middle of next month!). All of which would be acceptable if they didn't take the money until they had the item in stock! By taking payment for items which may never be delivered is cracking business - for them!

I had a similar experience when when I ordered Schwalbe winter tyres in late October 2009. Delivery always seemed to be a few weeks away. I eventually cancelled the order in Feb 2010.
I haven't had any delivery issues with items listed as "in stock".

My saddlebag arrived today. Whilst delighted with the product, I have mixed feelings about the service from Wiggle. They took my order and my payment on the basis of a delivery within 2 weeks, in the end it took 8 weeks. Had they contacted me at all, I would be happy with this, but as it stood, I didn't know what was happening and whether I would get my order or whether (according to their T & Cs) it would be cancelled. The issue of paying at time of order was mitigated by the fact that the price had gone up in the meantime.

On balance, happy :)

Until recently I have always had good service from Wiggle and the few problems I have had were dealt with politely, earning them 5 stars for customer service in my book.
In the last few months, however, they have gone downhill and customer service has been downright poor. Anything to do with Wiggle having new owners I wonder?

It seems slightly unfair that Wiggle are getting all the stick here and Carradice apparently get off scott free.

Well Wiggle took my money on a promise of supplying goods within a period which they failed to do. My contract is with the retailer not the manufacturer. That is for Wiggle to take up with their supplier. On a more positive note, my latest Wiggle order was despatched the same day :D

Has anyone else had problems with wrong delivery addresses?
I've just had a call from a previous employer telling me my latest order has turned up there (I used to have deliveries sent there, but left 2 years ago!)
Logged on to my account, and sure enough there it was - in fact the only address showing was the old one.
Weird - the last 2 years worth of orders have successfully been delivered to my home address.
