Non English bike websites

Post by maxglide »

Santos - apparently excellent bikes... pity about the website.

The English option works poorly, as it keeps defaulting back to Dutch, and the translations are 'creative':
"They will not let you down, not even if you're about 583 kilometers away from the next bicycle."

But the annoying part is their build-your-own-bike page, 'Choose your bike', is only in Dutch. If Santos want English speaking customers to fork over the best part of $5,000, an English option might be a start.

Ditto, Idworx bikes from Germany, also very well regarded but language only German & Dutch.

Patria bikes good though, with a nice site and good English option. Fine, but pricey German machines.

I took a look out of interest I thought their English was good.

Is Custom build the same as build your own? If so that is in English too for me.

Nope; tried again. The build-your-own always comes up in Dutch.

The sequence I used was
Home page choose Brit flag
Then using menu at top "choose your bike" drops down and chose "roadmap"
The box at the bottom of the page does not give English you are quite right. Image
