Ive been shopping. So tedious.
From Lidl I bought
Shorts seem pretty good
Folding bike lock - cr&p, wobbly joints, incorrectly assembled

jam - gone up a lot, now cheaper in the main shops, but I was there....

From poundland I got

allen keys included, an inch long, who is ever going to be able to use them ?

I'll be spending as much time taking stuff back as I did buying them.
It seems that half the stuff on the shelves is rubbish, not fit for sale.
I have better things to do.
Im sure a lot of customers dont bother, so the managements know they dont need to stock decent stuff

I'd like to agree.
Sadly, the chinese-tat phenomenon affects all prices points, we the customer are getting what someone has(nt) paid for, regardless of what we pay. Very often the same item can be found with a different label at wildly varying prices. Also, there seems to be a segregation in the market - at the lower end is utter crap, then the price generally goes up a lot to half-decent, and a small fortune for good quality. Im fed up with it.

Inch long allen keys will stop a lot of gorilla handed flueless cluckers over tightening stuff, indeed longer keys can work in this respect but only if on the dairylea end of the cheese scale...

Well what else do you expect for a £1, the shop knows that no one can be bothered to take stuff back when they have only paid a £1 for it.

The short allen keys are used when tackling the Allen Key Fairy

By leaving the short ones in an obvious place, the Allen Key Fairy will remove these decoys instead of taking the real, useful ones
