Well the Harrison completed my 40 minute circuit this morning. I got a puncture half way round last time, so the plan is to ride a circuit every non-riding day gradually building up the distance, so if anything breaks I don't have too far to push....

How's the electronic front wheel working out for Jules?

Long and tedious .....
Jules is loving her bike ..... we are off to do the coast to coast this weekend Portreath to Devoran .....
It's an electric assist bike so she has to peddle and on occasions ( Mousehole to Marizon ) she forgot to turn the power on ...lol

Unfortunately David and Jules will not be able to attend the Durham ride out ..... as we have to be in Mallorca ..... really we have to be there ..... no escape ..... :)
I haven't told Jules yet but the Merckx Road bike will be delivered to the hotel the afternoon we arrive ......
Just got to get my shoes, pedals and a 15mm spanner into the case without her noticing.

What, no bike for Jules
Where are you hiding the helmets? Helmet compulsory out of town :?
I'm there 8th October for two weeks. :D

That should up the Strava stat's.

After 5 weeks in Cornwall Jules was rusty not tanned .....
When i turned up at weekends the weather was ok ..... as i drove past Exeter on the way home the rain started.
So we 're off on a cheapo, self catering, 7 nights to Alcudia, Mallorca.....
I've rented a Merck's Sallanches for 5 days for early morning rides ....
Gareth the Garmin ( grandkids named it !! ) is going with me ....
Though i would like to get 3 rides in before we fly out ....
But not hopeful as posting this from a hotel in Sunbury on Thames, business in London village today and tomorrow and taking the 2 oldest GKids flying on Sunday morning ....
(If the weather is no good for flying i can go cycling ... muhahaha, )

The Wimps LEJOG Camper van, an assortment of mechanical components held together by rust, steel and filler ... ....
5 speed gearbox ... sometimes 4 ...

I picked it up on Monday morning from Liverpool, got on to the M62 and opened the drivers door window ,,, which promptly disappeared into the door !
The steering is vague in the extreme and the brakes are "variable noise, constant speed".
The clutch pedal is a full 12 inches above the floor and the bodywork seems to have been resprayed by Ludwig the Mad .... with rattle cans .....
But it was cheap and has 13 months MOT ....
And its with our fleet vehicle garage on Friday morning for a check over and sort out .........
Selling the Mazda MX-5 should pay for it....
So we seem to have swapped a 1994 car for a 1993 camper van ...... some people never learn .... :D
Do we .......

I will be bringing its younger cousin. A camper van makes biking events so much easier.
