Does anyone know if the towpath from Slimbridge to Gloucester (NCR 41) is rideable on road bikes with panniers?
Thanks.

Re: Slimbridge to Gloucester - Severn Way
Most of Slimbridge to Gloucester on NCN 41 is actually on country lanes - the bits on the Gloucester & Sharpness towpath are fairly short.
I haven't cycled it for years (and then on a hybrid) but I was there a few days ago on a boat, and walked the southern NCN 41 part from our overnight mooring to the Tudor Arms. The surface is firmish gravel, so you should be ok as long as your tyres are reasonably robust. There's an easy diversion on city streets for the northern bit if you don't fancy it.
