John Ogroats to lands End route advice please

Hello

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to find info on the best routes, ideally non motorway will be looking to complete it in around 11/12 days.

I have seen lots of different guides you can buy but the more I see the more confused I'm getting to which would be the best bet.

Thanks

www.cycle-endtoend.org.uk has stacks of resources

... and I assume someone will move this post to the E2E section of the Forum?

It's already been moved Rob, you've replied to the shadow topic which was left in place so the OP could find it :)

I do often wonder if the fact that people ask the same question over and over again is not a critique of the search function on the site...
May be a large font at the top of the home page.. SEARCH BEFORE ASKING! ... would help ... :)

Indeed - not specifically criticising the OP but the world does seem to be overrun with people "wanting it on a plate" ... too lazy to think/ask - or don't read instructions*

*The MacRide Events that we ran until recently all start at an 800+ space Park & Ride Car Park - you'd be amazed at how many messages we got before each event asking if there's parking. Doh.

TBH, I've never found the search function particularly helpful.
Perhaps someone who thinks its OK could produce some guide notes on how to make it perform....

I agree. I searched for "YHA" the other day and got the message "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: YHA" . I agree it's a short word but I wouldn't say it was common, not even on this site.

Just done a search
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4776&p=33952&hilit=Using+search+on+this+forum#p33952

Back in 2007 "Search before you post"

Advice in 2009 was using Google to search the site

Example ..... site:forum.cyclinguk.org yha
