Hi, I'm doing a solo Lands end John O'Groats but also including climbing the 3 peaks in 13 days ish.
Day 1 - I will be cycling from Lands End to Lapford - 130 miles
Day 2 - Lapford to Hereford - 130 miles
Day 3 - Hereford to Pen-y-Pass - 126 miles
Day 4 - Rest and climb Snowdon
Day 5 - Pen-y-Pass to Blackpool - 129 miles
Day 6 - Blackpool to Wasdale Head - 78 miles
Day 7 - Rest and climb Scarfell Pike
Day 8 - Wasdale Head to Lesmahagow - 117 miles
Day 9 - Lesmahagow to Glen Nevis visitor centre - 132 miles
Day 10 - Climb Ben Nevis
Day 11 - Fort William to Alness - 90 miles
Day 12 - Alness to John O'Groats 98 miles!
(Day 13 is a rest day where I think best)
This is by far the biggest challenge I've ever set myself, if anyone is willing to climb the peaks with me feel free to pop me a PM.
I'm doing the trip on a Specialized awol with ortlieb panniers and wild camping the whole way through (except Blackpool and Fort William) I'm starting on the 1st September and hoping the weather will be on my side so I can ditch the tent and just use a bivy any questions feel free to ask!

That's something I've been thinking of doing though the other way round (I live in Plymouth so makes sense to cycle home really), you should let us know how you get on. I did the Peaks three years ago - great fun but tough!

Golly Gosh!
Good luck with that.
I did the Scottish end2end 2 years ago and popped up Ben Nevis along the way.
I needed a day off afterwards before heading down to Oban.
Mind you, I was 61. Maybe you're a bit younger?

Why Lapford?
Also for goodness sake do not forget about the A30 being banned to cycling east of Bodmin. If you want to use the A30, come off at Indian Queens and follow the A39 through Wadebridge and Camelford, then A395 towards Launceston to re-join the A30.
DO NOT follow the posted diversions.

Local knowledge is a wonderful thing...you would do well to take note.

It is more like 100 miles from Blackpool to Wasdale Head by road. Beware of Google maps which bizarrely suggests a direct route over the mountains via Stake and Sty Head passes It's a nice hike, but it's definitely not a cycle route!
