First of all it's great to see you back on the bike - how are the ribs?
Secondly - it moves me off the bottom :D

Really good that you are back on it, look forward to you moving up the leader board over the coming weeks.

I felt a few of the bigger bumps. Also I was running out energy at the end

Wimps Strava
It's nice to see the activity increasing on Strava last week
Positions were
Distance Flash first 171m Sbcoombs second124 m KFTthird 114 m
Longest ride Softlips 97m second KFT 63m Flash third 54mile
Climbing. Flash first 7244ft KFT second 5453 Paulatic 4837ft
Looks like Someone did a lot of short flat rides
Wish I had managed that during the last 7 weeks
Despite an heroic attempt with three rides, doubling the mileage each one I was unable to make the leader board

Lots of short flat rides... Steady hour on the turbo every day to keep me sane and use the time while off work. Another 4 weeks before I can discuss getting out on a bike so I'll have around 60 days to get some road miles in.
It's good to see you steadily increasing the rides Ken.

We’ve no snow here but it’s the cold North Easterly winds holding me in for nearly a week now.

I do - it was the Market Drayton one, but we were only at Loggerheads for a few minutes - the rest of the ride we were in total agreement.

My philosophy entirely!

Sorry, can't offer any advice for companies, because I reckon they ALL want some sort of "angle" to their business plan.
Dartmoor, is just one of them.
If you want to do these places .......... like you say ............ go and do them as a separate thing some other time.

I've done End2End a few times, but never with an organised group, though I have been on the support team with one. Thier angle was doing the ride in five days. Stupid, I know, but they did it. Many folk have done it in five days over the years, and some less than five days. Personally, I like eleven days, and I like a the flattest route to do it. I can give you my route, but if you want a support team behind you, I think you are going to be out of luck.

I often think about going on a supported ride, but going my own route, and only joining up at each day's destination.
Maybe you could consider that?
There can't be any rule about following their route faithfully, so long as you start and finish each day at the correct place.

Mick.... what route did you do out of interest?

Cheers

We had 9 riders on the Strava table last week which I think is the record number this year so far. Obviously a sign of slightly better weather and about time too. With just over 12 weeks to go some of us, me included, have a bit of catching up to attain our wanted fitness for the ride.
There is approximately a total of 890 miles and with a projected total ascent of around 36300 feet, the averages can be worked out for training targets.
It has to kept in mind though that this is 14 consecutive days of riding and thought has to be given to this.
You'll never know if you don't try it.
