I used to use one of the motorbikes to balance on to get up and running, fixed is best. However I found it so boring I preferred to get muddy mountain biking instead.......

That was an expensive Sunday! New tent(Vango Soul 100....1.73kg), new sleeping bag (OEX Roam 100...950g) and sleeping mat (Vango Trek 3 standard....940kg) purchased......all from Go Outdoors and total weight of only 3.6 kg.....not too bad. LeJog is coming together for me

Apparently it’s childs play https://youtu.be/jLZhfCIuXx0 8)

I’ve never used them and I did try a turbo about three times. The boredom killed me. Winter fitness for me is a couple of squash games a week it’s warm and dry and only takes 40 mins. :D I tend to mtb more in the winter as I reckon one mile off road is as good as three on the road.
My own LEJOG plan is to up my mileage from the end of April and in particular get used to riding consecutive days. Though no doubt Rabbie might well be right.

It,s marvelous what 2 weeks in Majorca will do. Day after day of boring sunshine and good roads.

Jules and i had 7 nights in Alcudia, Majorca in September .... not a single cycling mile was attempted ... it was "Jules Time" .... there's lots and lots of "David Time" ...
