[quote="landsurfer"]There's a truck stop just outside Lockerbie that has a grand cafe, approx 30 miles into the day You are the second person to recommend that must be good

I'm easy on stops. I would prefer to ride early and enjoy the locations we arrive at in late afternoon. I'm not full eating meals mid ride but a sandwich or cake stop makes a nice change from ride fuel. I got knocked of my MTB by a Strava warrior yesterday and have a shoulder separation which looks likely to keep me off the bike for around 3 months. No more cyclocross season for me! I suspect I will get very cosy with the turbo trainer.
I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly bog brush using hovercraft full of eels

Not sure about 6:00 am starts though, unless the weather dictates it. Prefer 8:00 am.
Can we do a compromise? 9am Did I tell you my mate John suffers from Bakers constipation He can't pass a cake shop

I've had a brilliant idea, Instead of discussing starting times, best way to go, what and when to eat, why don't we adopt one single rule Everyone does what Oldmanonabike on a bike says

Last weeks Strava leaderboard KFT won the furthest distance and most climbing with Cycleruk doing the longest ride. Softlips and John100 took the rest of the places
