Can someone guide us on how to get Strava or Garmin Connect on here to show the routes we took?
We can then comment on each days do's or do nots for future reference. Or the why's and wherefores etc.
I could put up the "intended" routes (RidewithGPS) but we did vary them slightly for whatever reasons on the day.

Absolutely excellent idea.

What I have done in the recent past, is to show my days as screenshots from my computer.
Back when BikeHikeUK could store routes, I would use that, but they stopped hosting routes so went over to Bike Route Toaster, but that's gone now.

Never got into Strava or Garmin Connect etc.

Here's the ride from Sourton to Taunton Sunday 24th June.
On the map, you can see where I doubled back from the campsite on my way to the train for home.
The profile has the temperature on it. The spike near the end is Mercian sitting in the sun whilst I had a few beers in the shade then it ends suddenly as my Garmin was out of range from Mercian as I reviewed the day on it.The spike at the beginning is sitting in the morning sun waiting for the off.

I can only add my admiration for all the guys and gals who made it to JoG.
Very well done to all and thank you very much for the help.

Cycleruk I know we didn't manage the complete ride due to your illness and my accident but we along with KFT and Landsurfer should feel proud that we as a team created, with help from other forum members ,the Wimps Lejog which brought a lot of pleasure and a bit of bum pain to the rest of the :D riders

Ah, no worries. I had a lovely 80miler ride for that meetup.

I did manage to see you the next day though at about 10am or so at the big junction just south of Gloucester City Center. ARE YOU THE WIMPS?? :D

I would be very grateful if the Wimps route was made available by GPX.
Thanks!

If someone wants to compile a journal of some sort and set of daily .gpx files I'd be delighted to host them on mu E2E website at www.cycle-endtoend.org.uk for the world to access free of charge - the website seems to be pretty much the go-to for most budding end-to-enders.

The day I became ill was the day I used Sudocrem.
I said it tasted funny. :(

Plus One for fixed, but did you not get fatigued from sitting in one position for hours? Seems to me the bars only permit one stance

I was fine on the hilly days but struggled on 2 of the longer, flatter days. I have those bars on a few of my "all day" bikes and really rate them.....

I do hope you hadn't been "double dipping" with the lads .....

I was relieved to get my own pot .. (pinched baby Riley's :) )

One of the decisions before setting off was which saddle to use.
Decided on the old B17 as the bike is a bit more sit up than my others.
I won't go into details but because of the heat an area of the body were getting a bit humid so decided on some protection.
Never got chance to test it fully but it did seem to help for the one day.

We can then comment on each days do's or do nots for future reference. Or the why's and wherefores etc.
I could put up the "intended" routes (RidewithGPS) but we did vary them slightly for whatever reasons on the day.

You could upload the rides to RWGPS and then share them.

Here is an example:

https://ridewithgps.com/trips/24306593

Upload is on the list that appears at the top of the RWGPS screen. I don't think that it is a premium feature.

There is also an Automatic Garmin Sync option if you recorded on Garmin?

What I need is someway of storing the routes that people can look at without them being on my PC.
Obviously the original daily routes I have on RwGPS but if I delete them then they are lost.
Some days we made deviations and this was recorded on Strava. So we also need a way of storing these so that we can comment on the reasons why.
