We have 6 riders for the 10th November for our next team ride, and hopefully more to follow.
The title of the ride weekend was "UP NORTH" so can we have suggestions for 50 - 70 mile + rides.
I have suggested the Flat and Fast 100 mile route or there is an outstanding rolling AUDAX UK route of 68 miles of rolling hills and forests which runs through Clumber Park and the east Pennine area.
Transport will be available from Exeter northwards for those "down south" ...
Booking this far in advance I can get significant discounts for Travelodge accommodation on the business account, especially if room sharing is possible.

Route suggestions please.

I’d definitely be up for that. I think either one of the SS 29er or my SS Fat bike are made for the job....

I’m gutted I didn’t do my 100 miles last week but what with Mum in hospital and me being Dad’s taxi and the awful weather over the weekend I think my target is going to be tough to meet for the next few weeks..,,

The post above is a response to the off road trip. David, we must have been typing at the same time. The November ride sounds good and currently the date works....

The fair Jules has volunteered to drive ahead each day and pitch camp for the cyclists.
Her plan is to leave approx 2-3 hours after us each day ,, (lay in !) .. and catch us up with food and tools and stuff as required then go forward to the nights stop and pitch tents etc .... she's good at this .... very. Planner!
If a rescue is required she will back track with support as required.
Small camp sites with showers will be targeted wherever possible ...

Is this still on? My husband is interested. I could help Jules. We are in New York and would love more details.

I'd be up for that. I might need a new rim after today's ride (all 0.1 mile of it)....
