I’m now in Rome with work for the few days before we set off. Really bad planning. I need to pack early.
I’m back Thursday night and planning to work from Portbury on Friday, to limit the drive down to Redruth. Ponderosa is booked.
I’ve decided to use my gravel bike. A bit slower but more comfortable.
Looking forward to it now. My legs are ready!!

Sorry, I didn't think you had booked me in for the Friday night, as I wasn't sure about plans. I'll email them today to explain and cancel.

Wimps Strava
Nice to see John100 up on the leaderboard, Two of the riders seem to have done the same mileage and one of those used a manual entry for one of his rides but didn't add a time so he did about 40m in zero seconds.
I happen to know he was riding a battery assisted bike but as they are limited to about 15mph he couldn't have been that fast.
About 18 months in the planning and less than two weeks to go to the start, good luck to us all

Yes, see you all soon! :D

Question:
How many of you?
How big a group am I looking out for?

There are eleven of us setting off I can't forecast how many will still be in one group at any time ?Traffic conditions often split groups .

Eleven eh?
:D :D

You can do a stylish delta formation with ten.
Four abreast at the back, then three, then two, and one at the front.
Perhaps you need a scout.

Bugger, the thread on my fork column on my R O Harrison has just stripped. Although I can get it replaced I probably can't in time for next Friday, so if I can't borrow a set forks I'll need to use another bike. And unfortunately I've already agreed to sell my Pashley to a guy who's collecting it tonight.....
