Plenty of camping in the area if required.

That sounds good ......

Are you thinking May time to give Steve and I a chance to recover?

Or both? I'm all over the place in May, so it's unlikely I'll be able to make that but one in March for anyone available would be good...

I was thinking March .. early , as I have 4 Sportive's in April / May as part of the build up and a "social with a bike" in March would be the last opportunity for me and Jules to escape before the start of the great adventure.
Maybe even just a 30 miler and some quality pub time would be good :D :)

I won't even get on a bike till March I don't think Steve will be on a bike till late April. Is it not to cold to camp in March?
That said I would enjoy a meal with the Wimps.
I haven't heard from some of the wimps for a while ,if this applies to you could you contact me just to remind me if you are camping or have other arrangements ASAP Please

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Please do not arrange anything for the weekend 24th March
It is my 50th Wedding Anniversary on the 23rd and I would like to survive it

I know a hotel just off the A68 near Fir Tree in County Durham great food .
I recommend going there and leaving the bikes at home.
If we calculate the center point of the wimps who will attend I guess Bristol and Moffat where do we end up?

I imagine it a difficult if not nigh on impossible task to get everyone together within a reasonable travelling distance on a free date. Tamworth would be 400 ml for me so highly unlikely unless I cycle there. :)
My March plans pencilled in at the moment are to complete a C2C in early March. I started it a couple of years ago. And Abandoned because so many bridges had been washed out.
Mid March we are heading, with the caravan, to Lincolnshire, In search of hills I hear you laugh.
No further locations planned yet but we more than likely end up in Cycleruk country every year. I’ll give a shout out to anyone when I’m in your area.
Whatever I am, wherever I am, this is me. This is my life

If it's going to be a non biking social occasion a considerate selfless person would suggest Corby so that our friend with the bad back could get there with the minimum of pain.
I still think Durham has a lot to offer :?
