That’s great news. Just in time for the improved weather. I have this and next weekend left before going back on the operating table. Trying to build some fitness to see me through the next 2 months.

Only 17 weeks to the GO from this weekend.
Things are now getting serious as we are asking the current group members to firm up their intention for the ride.
The route is settled although there is a little detail to check especially around some main roads if a viable detour can be found.

Activities have been fairly light over the Christmas winter period, obviously weather dependent, but 8 of the group posted some Strava activity last week.
A couple or three of the guys are still recovering from riding misfortunes and we hope they get back to fitness ASAP.

It's a Mary Poppins weekend coming up.

So a drop in temperature again. :(
You'll never know if you don't try it.

I have bad news.
Something's come up, and I'm not available for the duration. Sorry.
You're all going to have to count me out.

I intend meeting up for parts of the ride down this way if that's ok.

First thoughts are for me to ride out to Camelford as you come through, and ride with you to Okehampton. From there, I can ride home. Circa 80miles.

Next day, I could ride up to Okehampton, and then to Taunton, then get the train home. From here to Taunton is circa 75miles.

Again, sorry.

Mick.

I still intend to ride at some stage with you guys too - are you having another get together before the event?

That's a shame Mick. I'm looking forward to meeting you and was planning to spend many evenings around the campfire discussing the merits of Raleigh Choppers.....

I could easily come up with a 50 miler around Tamworth, or a bit longer maybe as we are getting closer to the off?
Plenty of camping in the area if required.

I would enjoy another meet-up.
Just depends on the when?
Also willing to organise a ride around the scenic flat lands of sunny Lancashire.
