70 miles ..ish route .. In the WIMPS spirit!
And Chris and I will make sure the South West brigade get there.
Friday Night social, Saturday ride, Saturday night social, disperse Sunday ....

Can I mention if we don't start suggesting dates and venues we could end up taking turns riding one of my bikes......

Come on "North of Preston" brigade, someone start the ball rolling with a route and some dates .... lets not let the WIMPS fizzle out .... :)

I could get john b to make a route in the Durham area then at least we could attend the socials. John is still laid up from his accident and I have ongoing problems. Is second weekend in September to soon?

I'm "racing" on the Isle of Wight that weekend. Singlespeed UK. Trying to improve on my 4th place at Singlespeed Europe...

Sorry not responded before re follow up weekend. Not been out on bike much with various things going on. Hope all Wimps are well and/or recovering. If Ken and John B back riding soon could make the weekend later than sooner? If not as Ken says do one up a bit further north. Clitheroe is a possibility of course. We need to correlate who can come and when. I definitely can't do 29th 30th Sep, all Oct except 27th 28th, 3rd 4th Nov, 17th18th Nov. It may be that we have to go with one date that suits most people. Our eldest is 40:on the 21st October and we've got weekend trips seeing the others.

No it's in Bath, 12 miles each way, so that's 24 in total and we'll probably drive.....

You never know with camping. As long as it's not too cold or wet then fine.
My last expected camp this year is "clocks back" (27th October) with the proviso of the above.
The drawback with later camping is obviously it goes dark earlier so a good pub close-by is handy.
Could always do B&B or hostel .

I used to help organise the 2CV Winter Camp in December and when that ceased a group of us motorbiked to Rhayader every December to carry on the tradition. Ideally I think earlier in the year is nicer......so how about 3/4th November. If we do go up North I'd be tempted to spend the week before or after based at a mate's in the Lakes for some nice day rides....

I can safely say I’ve nothing planned for November.
Apart for the end, September is about full up.
