Well I've got the frame...

Post by flash »

The plan is to ride next year when I'm 60 on a bike at least as old as me, so after a few years looking I finally have a frameset, a 1942 R O Harrison. Just need to find the rest of the parts and build it up....Image

A nice project and something I've thought of myself. I've done a LEJOG group ride but a solo on a 1961 vintage bicycle really appeals to me.

A very nice frame but I have a couple of thoughts.
What are you expecting to kit it out with and do you want to fit gears ?
I can't see from the photo but does it have a rear brake bridge?
What is the dimension inside the rear fork ends?

Good luck with the project.

Would a hub gear approach be the way to go?

It's a track frame with 110 dropouts. It's going to be fixed, 1 gear or fixed 2 gear with a TF2 hub. I'll build it up fixed wheel to start with and try that.....
