Setting off Thursday...

Post by mfpnl »

My son and I are setting off on Thursday morning on our LEJOG. A self supported trip using a mix of SUSTRANS/Cicerone/homemade routes. We're using our two trusty Airminal Joeys. Our daughter is dropping us off in the car at Lands End and we'll get trains back home to North Lincs from John O'Groats. Not in a particular rush - so it's a leisure tour rather than a 'challenge'.

Before we go I just wanted to say that we've learnt a lot through the generosity of the contributors to this Board.

So 'thank you' to you all.

Hopefully we will have a few tips of our own to share when we get back.

Enjoy it and watch out for a mad Yorkshireman as you come through Southern Scotland. :D

As with others, I wish you good luck for your ride - but bring your macs, cos it's pouring down in Penzance this AM, and the forecast for the rest of the week is not that good either. Character forming, I think they call it.

Please beware of too much Sustrans: they can wander hither and thither, and you will have a long way to go.

regards, Morzedec.
