LeJoG - additional fun challenges
LeJoG - additional fun challenges
Has anyone set themselves any additional challenges on an LeJoG to add a bit of fun?
I did it with some guys who had been challenged to drink n different brands of beer over the trip?
I'm doing it in August with 4 others and thought it might be fun to each have an additional challenge

Re: LeJoG - additional fun challenges
There have been all sorts of ideas - just a couple that spring to mind:
1 A route that visits every Premier League football ground
2 Only staying overnight in establishments called The Red Lion
... and of course Mick F OTP on his Moulton with a trailer was something different!
The Journals on the E2E site have lots of stuff on journeys that will yield all sorts of other things.

Love No.2, shame all my accommodation is booked. Great idea though

I met some riders a few years ago who were visiting as many real ale breweries they could.mnichols wrote:I did it with some guys who had been challenged to drink n different brands of beer over the trip?
Can't remember their name for the ride. Something like "LEJOG for Beer".

For what it's worth, I've planned my JOGLE for next year (start date is set for 21st August 2018) around staying at naturist campsites. They're a bit thin on the ground in Scotland (i.e. there are none) but from Carlisle southbound there are only a couple of nights where I can't make it work with sensible (for me) mileages.

I always get naturist and naturalist mixed up. Which one means you look at birds?

We were considering staying there for a weekend once, though we never actually did it. Main reason we didn't as it isn't very far from here. When we want do go naked, we do it at home.

Yes, Southleigh is on the itinerary, as is Acorns in Devon, Western Sun Folk at Trelleck, Wrekin View (Salop), Manchester Sun & Air, Lancashire Sun Club, and Solway Sun Club.
We've stayed at some of them in the past but are looking forward to visiting the new ones. All have very nice swimming pools for an after (and pre?) ride dip!
