A little training jaunt by some ladies who are preparing for a really long ride.

Her blog (Emily Chapell) on the 500 record is worth a read too. And:

Bikes belong on trains: two spaces per carriage would meet most needs.

Looks like they're just finishing:

Fraction over 4 days given that they set off at 5am but in the weather conditions they've had and the fact that they weren't supported on the road, that's really good going. There's a few tweets using the hashtag #hogmanayLEJOG to continue following it.

I’ve been spot watching Emily&Co since the start. They nearly made it in 4 days. I see they stopped short at Tofts. Looks like they pulled into a guest house there.

Remarkable effort especially this time of year. Mostly a tail wind on day 3. I missed them when they stopped at nearby Mway services. I was looking for them to hand over a donation but they must have taken bikes inside as there was no sign outside.

Edit: at 4:44am that guest house might well be a bus shelter or barn. How they’ve kept warm for four days astounds me.
Whatever I am, wherever I am, this is me. This is my life RIP Hannah Hauxwell
