Wonderful! :D

I must say, that he rides like me ............... or do I ride like him?
He pedals in the same way as I do. Not a masher, nor a spinner.

A post from toontra on another thread reminds me, not that I'd forgotten, that there are some epic totally unsupported rides, many of which will pass unrecorded, unless the rider posts somewhere like this.

Hi,
Yes even with the fashionable today cycling bods who think they have invented the wheel, saw no mainstream media on him.
He looked uncomfortable at the end for sure, well done.
I hope Mick doesn't ride like that we will never keep up :)

This is why I suggested above that some enterprising person should hand out 5 day, 3 day, 48 hour etc certificates. Going just for the record seems pointless (well, occasionally it isn't :D) while there are these other amazing rides to be achieved.

I read toontra's blog and it is quite incredible really. In fact if you cut out the support, ignore the fact of the record, take away the sports background and the special bike you might have two uncomfortably close achievements.

The other record attempt scheduled, by Jasmin Muller, has been postponed until after the summer holidays due to unfavourable weather conditions.

I am sitting here with a sore bum after my 14 dayer, thinking well maybe I could knock a day or 2 off next time . I am in awe of the feat of the remarkable riders that can do these record attempts

Lejog in 67 hours 15 min. Apparently on his way back now.

Does anyone know what the record actually is for LEJOGLE?

Doing it the other way JoGLEJoG must be quicker :D
James MacDonald set a record in September 2017 for cycling from John o' Groats to Land's End and back again in five days, 18 hours and 3 minutes.[

These attempts aren’t as much fun when there’s no dot to watch
