Whitchurch is another issue.
Always better for the normal LEJOGer to go through the centre of town on the old road as it's shorter and there's shops and facilities.

Maybe quicker to do the bypass. Good road.

Cycled through the town a few times, and driven that way in the old days, but since the bypass was built, the best way to drive is round the bypass.

He's now into Whitchurch - more or less - but unless the schedule posted by FF is wrong, he's an hour and ten minutes down.
