Perhaps somebody can explain this for me. If I use the tracker linked earlier and click on the label for Chris Murray, the info includes this:-

Track: 173 km
Route: 202 km

Is "track" the straight line distance back to the start? If not, what does it represent?

Think it might be the distance covered according to her schedule. She is currently about 30mins ahead of schedule

Chris certainly got helpful conditions considering the time of year. Warm days and cloudy nights. Ok no major tailwind but nothing against either.

Feeling quite positive about this one

It is looking good and from what I've seen on this thread and elsewhere she's certainly well prepared.
Several comments on this thread about the time of year, but it's to be remembered that the current record set by Lynne Biddulph was also late in the year, October I think. It is pretty astounding that her record has stood for 18 years.

Theres a long way to go yet! I think the maths teacher is driving up to Gaily Island to give her a cheer, no doubt Lynne Taylor will be there as well.

Looks like the ETA between CP18 and 19 is slipping. Anyone know what’s going on?

Slowed a bit during the night. Must be tough and lonely during the dark but only 10 Mins down at Lancaster @ 06:30. Hopefully the daylight will provide a psychological boost. Keep going Chris.....

Mr Broadwith (@24hourmaths on Twitter) is tweeting updates, though I guess those will slow down once he’s at work.

Now past halfway which may be a bit of a mental milestone, although I suspect Shap Fell looms large in a rider's mind. Within the limits of the tracking info, I estimate 15-20 mins down on her schedule.
