We'll see when he gets about halfway between Penrith and Carlisle, as that's the half-way point between LE and JOG.
50% and it'll prove it.

At the rate he's going, he'll be there this evening. :D

PS
DFM is how far he's gone so far.
The numbers work.

253Km = 157miles

Are you tracking him on the Blackblox site?

Go to the blackblox site and select Ian in the left hand box, if it's not already selected. Then click on the icon in the lower right of the right hand box and Ian's position centres on the map and its updated every minute or so. If you then hover over the historical positions a pop-up window appears with the various fields in it.

Do you think he's red light jumping?
I was watching him going through Bridgwater - a place I know well - and having driven and cycled through many many times, the traffic lights are frequent and with long delays.
He got through there too quickly IMHO.

It's probably helped that its the royal wedding and fa cup final day. It's pretty quiet out there.

I wonder if it might be battery life left?
Supporr car 2 is at 100% so I’m thinking it’s plugged into a 12v socket.

Going to see him in Bridgnorth later. If he does jump a red light though is he disqualified? On the old K6 tt course in penkridge they had a marshall on the pedestrian lights, jump those on red and you were disqualified.

ROFL
Last posted average was 20.7mph He needs 18.7 to break the record. There’s a nice tail wind here when he crosses the Solway.

I see permission has been given to ride across the old forth road bridge. Not sure if that's right?

Is it cheating to go on the day of the Fairytale Wedding?
Is the prevailing wind prevailing?

I make it he's now 30 minutes behind his schedule. That said his schedule is 42h 15m and the record is 44 hours for a normal bicycle so there is some room to play with.
