It's probably the zooming right in that I had missed.

Anyway, he's passed Daviot so under seven miles to Inverness I think.

I've just given him a big cheer from Inverness at 20:17...he was looking good. I actually popped into the local hospital to try and scrounge a neck brace. The lady at the desk had 2 ready and apparently it is sorted. I hope he makes it.

It took me all day to realise it! :D

It's a bit tight but if he's still going he could get to Inverness with a minute or two to spare - the last bit is all down hill.

If he's already in Inverness he's well ahead.

Update: through Inverness 12 minutes early.

Great effort! He is still a few mins ahead of schedule.

Click on the plus sign until you see small black dots then click on each dot.

Thanks - I was clicking on the flag, not the dots. :D

It's nail-biting stuff, isn't it!

I think it's a good sign that he's made up a few more minutes on schedule. Preparing the schedule can't be an exact science because you don't know what will happen along the way to interfere with it, but gaining time seems very positive to me, rather than just hanging on.

Crossed the Kessock Bridge.
Doing well, even though he wasn't earlier, but managed to gain ground.

Well done that man! :D

He's through Tore roundabout which I think = 112 miles to JoG. I'm not on twitter so I don't know anything about what state he's in but he's making good progress.

Another thing that has just dawned on me is that even if he's a little behind schedule there is some leeway.

His schedule has him finishing at 3.46 which by my calculation is 18 minutes less than the record..

AFAICS there hasn't been a tweet for about an hour. Maybe they're holding their breath . . .
