On the WIMPS LEJOG the youngest member of the team was Riley .. 7 months 2 weeks.
He travelled with Julie, in the ancient camper, 14 campsites in 14 days in total, with additional help from Cally and Lynda .. And most of the WIMPS had a cuddle at some point.
The youngest LEJOG'er ?? :D

From the site Cycle End to End

Youngest Cyclist
The youngest known end to end cyclist is Bow Jango Cann, aged seven and nine months, who on 21 July 2002 took the record from his brother Capability Jack Cann, aged eight, who had earned the title only ten seconds before. They did the trip in 22 days unaided using their own bikes, they rode with their teenage sisters and their parents Jim and Sam.

Think you may find cycling does not own LEJOG, i do believe some people have walked, ridden on horseback, motorbike, pogo stick .... oh, and travelled by camper van along the LEJOG route ..... and yet again :D

If ever an example of a child thriving in the great outdoors was needed Riley would be it.
I agree there are more ways to be a LEJOGer than cycle it.

In this case it could be Pete and his youthful 61 years. Only on a Fixie can we be sure that someone pedalled all the way. [emoji6]

I usually put alerts to impending record attempts elsewhere. I think this one is more appropriate under this heading.
Any day now we’ve got Elliot setting off as a 7 yo

Meanwhile on the road we have entirely different story on the road. "Family by Cycle" known on Twitter and Fb are already as far as Blair Atholl. Two children Ruth and Rhoda Jones aged 5 &4

Are going for the trailer bike record

The family has had a few critics from time to time especially when spotted on busy roads in the early days. Presently though, I’m embarrassed to say, in Scotland they have received racist comments. Yesterday they commented on the dire condition of route 77 from Dunkeld and out came a succession of Scot Nats taking it as a slur on their country. Motorists everyone of them no doubt. Thankfully there are more sensible people than stupid ones. :D

You have to be careful with the Scots and their sense of humour.

Taking th epic out of the English is a national pastime, but if you need help, support or advice, those same people are always there for you

Elliot is on the road leaving LE at tea time today.
I wonder if he’s only doing it to get out of returning to school.

On 3rd August 2018, Joshua Moisey, aged 7 years and 2 months, became the youngest ever Land's End - John o' Groats cyclist, riding his own bike alongside brother Reuben (10) and parents Alvin and Hiroko.

He also gave piano recitals along the way, together with his brother and concert pianist father, raising money for Alzheimer's Society.

Fantastic, well done Joshua. :D

And by the way: This from someone: "I agree there are more ways to be a LEJOGer than cycle it."

Just a friendly reminder that this is the web site for cycling LeJog.
