I believe that Joshua is the youngest to have cycled LEJOG on his own bicycle at 7 years and 2 months old. He has beaten the last record that I know of by Bow Jango Cann in 2002, who had cystic fibrosis, and was 7 years and 9 months old. I am noting my references below.

New Record as of 2018:

Joshua Moisey, aged 7 years, 2 months, 23 days and approximately 7 hours, becomes the youngest ever Land’s End - John o' Groats cyclist

With thanks and kind regards,

He also gave piano recitals along the way, together with his brother and concert pianist father, raising money for Alzheimer's Society.

Well done to Joshua :D (amazing how he slipped through my radar on twitter & wordpress)

I’m following Elliot and like the Joshua having a wonderful time. If Elliot is older than Joshua, all we are told he is 7) I wouldn’t like to be the one who breaks this to him. :(

EDIT: Alerted Elliot’s dad to this news. Elliot is 7 1/2

Well done Elliott, and well done Dad for keeping the flame going even after discovering the record had been broken. Well done Joshua for cracking a record that had stood for some time, and well done Family for supporting him.

This summer I was the domestique for Red the Rocket, he's my Limpet, I'm his Rock. We went on an adventure too, on homemade bamboo bikes, LEJOG solo. We also added lego bricks to the largest model being built in the world, climbed Ben Nevis, completed the Brevet 500 http://www.aukweb.net/results/brevet/ and finished moments after Rhoda & Ruth of Family ByCycle among other things. As an added bonus 30 days after the recently broken record he laid claim to it by a couple of months.

Still writing it up here http://www.pedalution.co.uk/blog/

Here's to the kids, lets hope they inspire others young and old to get out there and just do it; what ever it is!
