Another route

Post by charliepolecat »

I'm not going to say which route this is part of but it is the one I'm taking in a few weeks and wondered if those used to Cornwall's roads could explain what these numbers mean - ie, Carvolt 1 1/4 and Troon 3, etc.?

22.6 Just before the school go L to Carvolth 1¼ & Troon 3.

24.0 When you meet another road go L towards Troon 1½, Cambourne 3 & Redruth 5.

24.8 You will come to another T-jcn and go R to Four Lanes 2, Redruth 4¾.

25.2 At the next T-jcn at the B3280 go L to Four Lanes 1½ & Redruth 4¼.

25.8 At the next T-jcn go L to Redruth 3 along the B3297.

26.9 Continue into Four Lanes. Just after a sign for the school you need to turn R at the Victoria Inn to Stithians 3¼.

28.2 You will come to a T-jcn. You will see a sign for Stithians 2, Wendron 5 & Helston 8 go R here then immediate L to Stithians 2.

It's okay, I'm having one of those moments. Clearly the cue sheet is saying what is shown on the road signs - mileage to those towns/villages, it isn't said that at all on the sheet, but that must be what they mean.

Troon is on the West Scottish coast.
They have a golf course.

Sorry, I'm making fun.

Troon is also in Cornwall not far south of Camborne.

I was cycling though Wendron in early June on my Parish Churches Quest.
