plumby's JOGLE

Post by plumby »

Well its started. I'm here in JoG, bike built and enjoying a spud with lashings of wifi in the Seaview Hotel. Nothing like solo dining when everyone else is in couples!

Bike survived the best efforts of the Royal Mail. Seen probably a dozen end to enders today. Eager for the pedal off tomorrow AM.

Thanks everyone for the route guidance. Ill update tomorrow assuming I have wifi in Inveran. Random pictures of Day 0.

Theres no 'G' here so to speak. They have cattle and electricity though!
Everyone really friendly. Surprised by how many tourists are here. So many nationalities too.

Till tomorrow.

Okay, a question. Does one have to have an app on the phone to access this forum and does anyone use an Android to access the internet? :?:

Over here (US) I usually send email or texts from my phone but always use the desktop or laptop to access this forum and any other web sites.

If I use my phone in the UK the charge will be about 7 pounds a day, so it had better be important stuff.

Three weeks today! :D

+1 .. The prepaid sim in my cycling phone gives me unlimited calls and txts and 1GB of data for £10 per month ... The phone cost 99p from Argos ...

Get one sent to you free from https://www.giffgaff.com/ Then buy a goody bag 40gb for £20 you could watch films with that :D or for my LEJOG I bought 3Gb for £10 which was more than enough.
