Do we have “The Driver”???
Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
Paul I think you need to go. Just think of all the interesting facts I could tell you about Fiat Pandas over 14 whole days....

The Driver will not be a WIMP ... I have a volunteer already in mind who would love to join us as driver ... And as a recently retired Paramedic is possibly the man for the job ....

Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
Been a busy day......working! On a lighter note I have been setting up my new Lezyne, working on a training plan, and organising my holiday date with work. I am giving myself 2 days to get to JOG driving, so hopefully will arrive by mid afternoon on the day before we set off. I know that August seems a while away but I want to be fully prepared, and a stronger rider than I was last time.
Has anyone else started planning yet or am I on my own?

Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
My cunning plan to ride 7000 miles this year isn't going to happen. I miscalculated the average weekly mileage at the beginning of the year and only realised a while back. So I'm still averaging a minimum of 100 miles a week but I actually have several 4 and even 5 work days per week for October and November, so I'm thinking that might slip...the bike I'm hoping to ride next year will only have a single sided fixed hub, so I may need to man up for the 3 days I used the lower fixed gear last time.... I may need to practice hills.....

I will be using the same bike, with all of its gears and still need to practise hills! How you do it with one gear...total respect!
Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
Start by taking off all the stuff off the bike you don't need, try to carry the minimum you need for the day...then, as you're doing, create a plan and go for it.....you've got some lovely routes down your way, I'm envious.......

Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
Good evening WIMPS,
This is the point of the year when i have to ask who is actually doing this ride.
The Whiteside's are, on the dates previously posted, with Hattie the campervan and Connor, Molly and Ella as our team.
A support van is available with fuel card.
I understand that stuff happens and today's "definitely riding" is tomorrows ..oops !!
But ...
I could do with someone to identify camp sites ..90% of the LEJOG sites where great ... but others ?? "Stalag Luft" Blair Atholl comes to mind.
Time to get real about the JOGLE chaps and chapesses .......

I'm definitely interested......
Re: The WIMPS JOGLE 2020
Unfortunately, it's unlikely I'll be able to make it as I will struggle to be able to gt two consecutive weeks away from work. However I am happy to help with planning again if needed.
I'd hope to be able to join you for a few days if that's ok?
