Just noting that I am currently happy about about my alternative plan to do JOGLE in May came to nothing.

Snowing in the Highlands at the moment.

Ta.

I've still retained my bookings in the faint hope that all will be open in September and also the brave people before me will have demonstrated that holidays don't push the infection rate up again.

I'm slowly getting back into cycling distances but I'm well off the fitness level from last year.
I will be happier when I have done 30+ miles four days running because that isn't far off 40+ miles day and from my limited experience if you are still going after four days then you will probably be all right.

Less than 3 months to go so I should really get some more serious miles in.

If you look at the risks of covid the risks of death from a vehicle hitting you, the best advice is to stay at home. Be safe, be careful, be vigilant and imprisonments yourself until it’s safe.
It wouldn’t/isn’t going to deter me and I’m in a risk category.

I'd think the greatest risk ATM are
Domestic disputes
Suicide
Garden accidents

Therefore lejog mitigates them - go for it!!!

Note that this is a supported ride so the risk assessment includes my partner getting infected as well.

OK
Covid-19 is kicking off again with strange decisions about quarantine and all sorts.
So I've decided to abandon my plans for September because life is complicated enough without trying to second guess where and when the next lock down will be.
I can live without doing JOGLE this year.
I can also (hopefully) live without Covid-19.

Let us see what next year brings.
May or September looking favourite.

Given the knee jerk over night lock down for random parts of England I think my decision is looking more sensible by the day. :(

Had planned the Jogle route in September and am 69, so the risk factor for coved 19 is one in a hundred and so it’s not looking good.
