Incredible... hasn’t slept since Thursday. Bet he wakes up ravenous.
Meanwhile Anisa Aubin is just over the hill from me and on that route for me it would be another week

Hi,
Two female rides are snapping at the heels of two male riders :D
On paper Gail Brown is only 20 K behind the third place man.
Anisa Is 50 K behind the main front but has considerably further to go.
So it's conceivable that both of these women might overtake those men yet?
Of course the advantage here is that everybody knows where everybody else is, so you can carry on cycling until you see the other person stop behind you and do the same.

Cracking race.

Interesting that in ultra endurance races both running and cycling women close the gap on men.

Cheers James

Hi,
Six left in the competition.
One guy has plans for 11 days and is on target.
Not sure about the others but I guess some of them are going to run out of food before they get to the end.

Seems a dangerous event, going without sleep for days
The legislation on working hours should be applied to sport
Entertainer, juvenile, curmudgeon, PoB, 30120
Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

What more dangerous than bad drivers who could never past a retest on attitude alone.

There's no law on non commercial driving is there?

But I understand your point.

There should be a law

Let them contest the hill-climb championship, that sorts the wheat from the chaff inside ten minutes!

It can be dangerous but these competitors have trained hard so know what they're capable of. This event isn't on roads so reasonably safe considering the extreme nature.

I know some events do have enforced stops of at least 4 hours out of 24.

Some events brought that in after the death of Mike Hall on the Pacific Rim race (although whether lack of sleep on his part was a factor in the crash has never really been determined).

Hi,
Gail Brown has not moved in 10 hours?
The rest behind her will obviously be suffering.

Tracker issues and apparently she's close to Paul for which is 3rd place I think?

Hi,
Adam has had to drop out.
It's been a very close fight for third place.
Gail has put up a real good fight for coming so close behind Paul, they are not finished yet but the result looks very clear.
I think it will be a struggle for any of the others at the back to finish?
Gail has got about 40 K to the finish so she should squeeze in before midnight tonight.
To get forth in that field is pretty remarkable really I'll take my hat off to all of them.
