Worse if all people who don't appreciate the mammoth ride you have just done!!

Thanks James. And thanks for your many helpful tips.
Yes getting back was almost as tiring as the trip.
Couldn’t get bike onto suitable train for Inverness (you have to pre book and spaces were few) so taxi there from JoG (Jimmys Taxis of Wick £200) then a one-way hire car from Inverness to Suffolk.
I realised just how far I’d come - 5pm to 11pm got me to Carlisle then 5am to 11am got me to Ipswich.
Return vehicle and cycle home!
