I did LeJog some years ago on a touring bike, front and rear racks and panniers plus the lighter / bulkier stuff rolled up on top of the rear rack. I took a tent and camped most nights, apart from a few when the weather was bad so I stopped in b n b or youth hostel. Main advantage was the flexibility of being able to use campsites. Disadvantage the extra weight to carry.
A few years later I did a tour in Denmark and Sweden, using a trailer for my camping gear. Similar weight, but the advantage of packing being easier (larger bag on the trailer) and less strain on the bike because the trailer was taking most of the weight.
I suppose another factor in 2022 may be that we're all getting out more after various lockdowns so campsites / accommodation may be full. I didn't pre-book anywhere on my trips, circumstances are obviously different now.
Where do I start please
